Reduce Food Waste
Every year, on average, each American wastes 35 lbs of food! In total American is wasting about 1/3 of the daily calories each American consumes daily! That’s food that could go to those suffering hunger and instead fills out landfills and contributes to increased methane.
But, we can all save money and reduce waste by just using a little bit more of the food we are already eating and embracing head to tail eating with both plants and animals.
I know we’re all busy, so here are some realistic ways to reduce your food waste! And I think they’re pretty tasty, like this Creamy Carrot Top Pesto and , Carrots Two Ways, and fritters made from celery juice pulp!
