
Breakfast
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! And if you’re wondering why that is, it’s because your breakfast determines your blood sugar levels and all the downstream effects (including how satiated and energized you are) for the rest of the day! That’s why I prefer breakfasts to balance proteins, fats, and carbs.
Breakfast is also a great source of comfort food, and you don’t have to sacrifice your favorite comforts just because you’re eating clean. Take these Banana Pancakes, for example. They’re simple, gluten-free, and absolutely decadent. Bacon and eggs are breakfast classics, and this Grain-Free Bacon Spinach Quiche is a hearty crowd-pleaser.
Since I often start my day with celery juice, I found a way to use the leftover pulp to create Celery Juice Pulp Fritters. They’re so tasty that sometimes I make celery juice just so I can make the fritters!
For those who eat breakfast with a spoon, may I recommend what I call the paleo breakfast bowl, it’s basically the best parts of cereal but with the crappy cereal removed!
